Tracker Blocking
Stop advertisers and trackers from following your browsing.
Tracker blocking prevents third-party trackers from collecting data about your browsing activity.
How It Works
Tracker blocking is enabled by default in SiteQuest. When you visit a site, any known trackers are blocked before they can load. This means:
- Fewer targeted ads
- Less data collected about you
- Faster page loads (fewer scripts to download)
View Blocked Trackers
SiteQuest can show you when it blocks a tracker. Look for the shield icon in the toolbar — it displays the number of trackers blocked on the current page.
You can disable tracker blocking for specific sites if they don't work correctly with it on. Open Settings > Privacy to manage exceptions.
Notifications
If you want to see when trackers are blocked, enable notifications in Settings > Privacy > Tracker Notifications. A toast message will appear each time a tracker is blocked.
